Testosterone vs. HGH: The Differences
Testosterone vs. HGH
Many people get confused about the different types of hormones that are produced in our body. They often lump all of the hormones into one category, but actually they are all very different and serve different purposes. Two commonly confused hormonal chemicals are HGH and Testosterone. While these two hormones exhibit some similar characteristics, they are also quite different. A deficiency in either of these types of hormones can lead to negative side effects, including loss of strength and energy, loss of sex drive or ED / Erectile Dysfunction, insomnia, weight gains and muscle loss. When it comes to low testosterone or low growth hormone, a replacement therapy program can be important. However, it is important that you know the difference between the two.
HGH, or Human Growth Hormone
HGH is a chemical created by the body’s endocrine system for both men and women. This particular hormone helps to regulate many functions of the body to do with muscle growth and definition, skin and hair health, cardiovascular health, and even mental stability. People who are deficient in HGH usually exhibit such symptoms as fatigue, loss of muscle mass and gain of excess fat, loss of stamina, and depression.
Testosterone is also a hormone. While it is most important to men and is generated in larger amounts for men, a small amount is also generated in a woman’s body. However, testosterone’s primary function is to develop and impact a man’s sexuality. The Hormone Testosterone – Testosterones in correct levels lead to sperm production, growth of facial hair, and a healthy sex drive. People who are deficient in this hormone may experience a low sex drive, a low sperm count, and mood issues like irritability and excess anger.
While both are hormones and they both serve important purposes, there is a difference between HGH vs. testosterone. In either case, deficiency can lead to negative side effects and an impact on a man’s or woman’s health, and replacement therapy would be needed. However, it is important to keep in mind that the two types of hormones are not the same and require their own hormone replacement therapy.
